Why do measurements differ from dedicated equipment?
Values can vary based on iPhone sensors, device cases, magnetic or metal objects nearby, microphone characteristics, screen protectors, and the surrounding environment.
Does the sound meter record audio?
No. The sound meter uses microphone permission only to show a live reference sound level. The app does not save audio recordings.
Do I need to create an account?
No. The app does not require account creation or login. There is no developer account data to delete. Saved measurement records can be deleted inside the app.
Are there in-app purchases or subscriptions?
No. The app is free and does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions. It may show Google AdMob ads to support free availability.
Why does the compass move or fluctuate?
Magnets, metal objects, and nearby electronics can affect compass readings. Use the app away from strong magnetic or electronic interference when possible.
Can I use the app if I do not allow ad tracking?
Yes. All measurement tools, saved records, and ad privacy settings remain available if tracking is not allowed. Ads may be non-personalized or limited.
I saw an inappropriate or age-inappropriate ad. What should I do?
Use the AdMob ad information or report controls shown in the ad first. If you need app support, email us with the ad screen, approximate time, iPhone model, and iOS version.
